Gymboree Play and Learn

School Skills 3-5 years

Understanding how objects and people in the world work At Gymboree, children between the ages of three and five years eagerly explore group activities. They are refining motor skills and also vital thinking, language, communication and social skills. This is also when children learn many self-help skills such as dressing and feeding themselves. Their new cognitive ability to categorize and sort helps them understand the similarities and differences between people, which makes this a great time to help them learn about respecting differences and getting along. Here we focus on all the key skills as an integral component of school readiness–- physical, cognitive and social development is crucial for engaging in peer activities and group play. Listening, cooperation and creativity are integrated into a variety of developmental skill building activities through science, alphabets, shapes and numbers exploration.
